Kevin Durant addresses failure on pass to Klay Thompson at end of game

The Warriors picked a bad time to have one of their worst possessions of the season in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals on Tuesday night. Golden State saw a 12-point, fourth-quarter lead slip away due to too much isolation ball and arrogant play, and Houston took advantage. Still, though, the Warriors had a chance to win or force overtime late, down only two points, with the ball, and roughly 15 seconds remaining. Kevin Durant brought the ball up the court, and he found Klay Thompson near the corner. The pass did Klay no favors, though, and the...

Watch Stephen Curry’s parents react to him missing final shot of game

Two-time MVP Stephen Curry had a chance to be the hero in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals on Tuesday night. Curry shot the lights out at Oracle Arena in the third quarter, but cooled down after head coach Steve Kerr rested him early in the fourth, which was a head-scratcher, to say the least. He finished with 28 points on 10-of-26 shooting, and had a chance to tie the game late. The Warriors had the ball with 0.5 seconds remaining, and Curry managed to get free. He received the inbounds pass, turned and attempted a three-pointer to...

Steve Kerr explains not calling a timeout on final possession of Game 4

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr and his team had a vice grip on the Western Conference Finals on Tuesday night, leading by 12 points — at home, no less — in the fourth quarter. But they let it slip away, big-time, due to a mix of fatigue and too much iso ball. The Warriors scored only 12 points in the fourth quarter of Game 4, which ended up being their lowest total of the season so far, and it couldn’t have come at a worse time. Speaking of worse, it was hard to be worse than they were on...

James Harden posterizes Draymond Green with monster dunk

By: Matt Birch | May 22, 2018 Rockets star James Harden came to play in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals on Tuesday night. Harden rebounded off a poor performance in Sunday’s game, putting the team on his back and dropping 24 points in the first half of Tuesday’s affair. He looked like a completely different person — an MVP, one might say. And he backed up all the trash talk between him and Draymond Green by posterizing the elite defender in the first half of the game. Green challenged Harden at the rim, but the MVP candidate...

Video shows Carson Wentz already progressing well in recovery from knee injury

Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz is six months removed from a serious knee injury, in which he tore his ACL and also suffered some meniscus damage as well. Yet somehow, he’s already hitting it pretty hard at practice, and looks fluid doing three and five-step drops, which this recent video shows. Good news and bad news for the #Eagles out of OTAs. Clint Capela believes he personally can stop Stephen Curry from draining three-pointers

Clint Capela just provided the Warriors with some bulletin-board material, and that probably was not a very good idea. Not only that, Capela actually came out and said he can limit two-time MVP Stephen Curry’s production, and maybe he’s failed to notice what the Warriors guard has done when facing scrutiny. Curry was hit with a ton of criticism for his subpar play in Games 1 and 2, and he responded by going off in Game 3, dropping 35 points on 13-of-23 shooting. Capela, however, came out and said he can limit Steph, and that he’s “not worried” about...

Chris Paul has comically bad flop attempt on Draymond Green

By: Matt Birch | May 21, 2018 Rockets point guard Chris Paul is known for his ability to get in the lane and score, whether it’s via a close-range shot or at the rim. He’s also known for his ability to draw fouls, sometimes in dramatic fashion. CP3 — along with teammate James Harden — is one of the league’s best floppers, and he attempted a great one in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals on Sunday night. Check out CP3 backing up onto Draymond Green and then just hitting the deck — with absolutely no contact at...

Watch Stephen Curry tell Oracle Arena crowd it's 'my [expletive] house'

By: Matt Birch | May 21, 2018 Oracle Arena is the home of the Golden State Warriors and their passionate fans, but it’s also the place where two-time MVP Stephen Curry began his career in 2009. Not only that, it’s also his house, which he made sure to let everyone know during Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals on Sunday night. Curry, in the second half of the game, did a great job of changing direction to blow by Trevor Ariza. He then finished off the play with a layup over Luc Mbah a Moute, who’s known for...

Jordan Hicks sets MLB record with 105 mph pitch sequence

By: Matt Birch | May 20, 2018 Cardinals closer Jordan Hicks is MLB’s new gas man, as he makes Aroldis Chapman look like Bartolo Colon. Nearly every fastball Hicks throws is 100+ mph, and he often tops that, even. Phillies infielder Odubel Herrera found that out during Sunday’s game, when Hicks hit him with a four-pitch sequence that averaged (!) 104.5 mph. Two of the throws were 105 mph, while the others were 104 mph, and that’s just ridiculous. Good luck making solid contact/catching up to any of this gas. Jordan Hicks goes 105, 104, 105 and 104 mph....

Nick Young pays tribute to Gilbert Arenas with Hibachi-themed sneakers

By: Matt Birch | May 20, 2018 Warriors guard Nick “Swaggy P” Young showed some love for a former teammate in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals on Sunday night. Young rocked a pair of Adidas Benihanas, the same shoes that Gilbert Arenas once wore. Check out how “Hibachi” is prominently displayed on the front of the sneakers. Arenas is probably thrilled that his former teammate paid tribute to him, even with him having called it quits on the NBA roughly five years ago. He clearly left a mark on Young, who hasn’t forgotten him. Featured, NBA, Warriors...

Saquon Barkley shows off QB skills with sick skill-shot throw (VIDEO)

By: Matt Birch | May 20, 2018 The Giants used the No. 2 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft to select the best running back in the class — by far — but Saquon Barkley might be even more versatile than they realized. Barkley showed the world he has a pretty accurate arm, in addition to extremely muscular legs, at the NFLPA Rookie Premiere over the weekend. The Giants running back took the field in Los Angeles, and uncorked a flawless throw from 25 yards out that flew threw a tire — untouched. Check out the perfect spiral....

Stephen Curry opens up about knee injury

By: Matt Birch | May 18, 2018 Warriors star Stephen Curry has been subpar during the first two games of the Western Conference Finals so far, which has sparked many to speculate about how bad his knee injury really is. Curry took time off to recover from the knee sprain — missing the first round of the playoffs to do so. He looked OK in the Pelicans series, but really only looked close to form in Games 2 and 5. As for the 15-of-34 shooting slump he’s in vs the Rockets so far, Curry has continued to state that...

Draymond Green applies to trademark 'Hampton 5'

By: Matt Birch | May 17, 2018 The “Hampton 5” or “Death Lineup” as they’re called, has given opposing NBA teams fits. And in case you’re not aware, the phrase was coined when the Warriors’ starting four — Steph Curry, Draymond Green, Klay Thompson and Andre Iguodala — went to a house in the Hamptons to court Kevin Durant. As we know now, whatever they said worked, as KD chose to sign with the Warriors, and the rest is history. The Warriors are now attempting to win their third title in four years. And Draymond Green is attempting to...

Watch NBA Draft Lottery drawing exactly as it happened

By: Matt Birch | May 16, 2018 The NBA Draft Lottery took place roughly 24 hours ago, and there were a number of winners and losers from the league’s version of “Powerball.” The Suns were the biggest winner, landing the No. 1 overall pick, with Igor Kokoskov having ties to Euro superstar Luka Doncic. Even the Suns aren’t inept enough to screw this one up. Just behind them were the Kings and Hawks, who earned the No. 2 and No. 3 overall picks. Looking at those two teams’ draft history, we don’t want to say that those teams will...

Justin Verlander nearly makes Shohei Ohtani fall down with sick pitch

By: Matt Birch | May 16, 2018 Angels sensation Shohei Ohtani has been getting it done both on the mound and at the plate, but he appeared to meet his match during Wednesday’s game against the Astros. Ohtani nearly went golfing attempting to hit a slider from Justin Verlander, and it almost caused him to hit the deck as a result. He lost his balance offering at the pitch, but was able to remain upright — preventing embarrassment. LOOK: Saquon Barkley's muscular legs on display in golf swing video

By: Matt Birch | May 16, 2018 Giants running back Saquon Barkley has so much strength and power for a guy who stands only six feet tall, and now we know why. Barkley’s workout regimen must consist of doing plenty of squats and deadlifts, because his legs are enormous. A recent video of Barkley swinging a golf club recently went viral, but it had nothing to do with the club. Instead, fans couldn’t help but notice how large Barkley’s legs are. It’s hard not to. When Barkley gets going in the open field, he is extremely difficult to bring...

A number of Rockets players rolled into Toyota Center wearing some fashionable attire, but McGee on the other hand, stood alone. Instead, he chose to pay tribute to a fictional movie character. McGee was seen wearing a Jackie Moon jersey as he made his way into the arena. Moon was played by actor Will Ferrell in “Semi-Pro” — one of the worst sports movies of all-time.
