Rasmus Asplund Signs Entry Level Contract With Buffalo Sabres

After a career year in the Swedish Hockey League, Rasmus Asplund is coming over to North America. The Buffalo Sabres signed the forward to a three-year entry-level contract. Asplund was considered one of the team’s top forward prospects. He is the third Swede to be recently signed by the Sabres. The team also added Victor Olofsson and Lawrence Pilut. It has been a disappointing season for Philadelphia Flyers prospect Samuel Morin. Injuries have limited him to just 15 regular season games. He played in parts of three playoff games in the conference final before sustaining an injury. Morin missed about three and a half months during the regular season, suspected to be a groin injury.
